Company claims employee was injured in car accident

GRETNA – A distributing company is seeking damages for a car accident.

Republic National Distributing Co. LLC filed a suit March 29 against Destini K. Coglaiti, Gina Coglaiti and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 24, 2017 when the plaintiff's employee was at the intersection of Cleary Avenue and West Napolean Avenue, when the defendant struck the plaintiff's car without warning. The lawsuit claims the collision was the fault of the defendant who was allegedly driving at an excessive speed and failed to stop in a timely manner.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre Legrand of Legrand Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 782167.
