GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after his property was demolished without warning.

Ernest Billizone Sr. filed a suit April 11 against the Parish of Jefferson House and Property Demolitions Dept., et. al., in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the demolition of a property that took place without adequate warning. The suit states the plaintiff was failed to be warned in sufficient time to remove his possessions and has such suffered a substantial loss.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by himself.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
