GRETNA — A company is seeking damages for work that it considers to have been negligently done.

Jude Properties LLC filed a suit on April 13 in the 24th Judicial District Court against American Builders LLC, Schenck Roofing LLC, ABC Supply Company LLC and Henry Company LLC, alleging negligence and breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place in September 2015. The plaintiff claims that it paid American Builders LLC to remove a roof and install drains on a building and also hired Schenck Roofing LLC to do repair and refurbishment work. Additionally, ABC Supply Company LLC allegedly was the supplier of some of the materials used in the project, and Henry Company LLC allegedly manufactured said material.

In September 2017, the plaintiff allegedly started receiving complaints that the building's roof was leaking. The suit states that American Builders LLC allegedly invoiced the plaintiff for repairs, which allegedly were insufficient and caused more damages.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jerald L. Album of Reich, Album & Plunkett LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 782773.
