LSU claims it's owed more than $5,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $5,000.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit April 16 against Jonathan Minh Nguyen in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the balance of $5,029.50 plus interest, claiming that the defendant failed to pay for sums accumulated when attending.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien. 

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-3722.
