LSU seeks over $1,800 on open account

NEW ORLEANS – A state university is seeking over $1,800.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit April 16 against Rahim Akil Alem in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,847.75 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern Reese.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-3713.
