GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after a City of Westwego driver allegedly struck his car.
Abedaziz Ahmed filed a suit April 19 against the City of Westwego and Luke Strack in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on U.S. Highway 90 on July 30, 2017. The suit states the defendant disregarded a traffic signal and struck the plaintiff's car.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to keep a lookout.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Brian Branch of the Law Offices of Edward Womac Jr & Associates LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.
