Harvey Volunteer Fire Department accused of negligence after its driver allegedly caused motor vehicle accident

GRETNA — A woman claims that her car was struck by a firetruck.

Tyra London filed a suit on May 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Dalton James Guillot, the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department, the Jefferson Parish Fire Department, Jefferson Parish and American Alternative Insurance Corporation, alleging negligence and reckless driving.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on May 31 when a vehicle driven by Guillot allegedly struck her vehicle.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael D. Riley in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 783508.
