Capital One claims that Jefferson Parish man owes it over $5,000

GRETNA — Capital One Bank claims that a Jefferson Parish man owes it more than $5,000.

Capital One Bank filed a suit on May 11 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Richard Shmitt, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $5,179.54, plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off his alleged debt.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeremy L. Nusloch of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
