Eagle Scaffolding and Equipment Company Inc. allegedly failed to inspect buck hoist

NEW ORLEANS — A woman is seeking damages on behalf of her husband, who allegedly was injured while at a worksite.

Brenda Curtis and Bernard Curtis filed a lawsuit on May 8 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Eagle Scaffolding and Equipment Company Inc. and ABC Insurance Company, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 28 when the Bernard Curtis allegedly was using a buck hoist supplied by the defendant. The suit claims the material used was not safe to use, which allegedly caused Bernard Curtis to sustain injuries.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael S. Brandner Jr. of Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
