NEW ORLEANS — A man claims that he was harassed by a phone company.
Darwin Escalante filed a lawsuit on May 7 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Lunex Telecom Inc. d/b/a Mega Minutos, alleging harassment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages because the defendant sent him text messages without consent. The plaintiff allegedly never signed up for the messages, and he allegedly was not able to opt out of receiving them.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Roberto Luis Costales of Beaumont Costales LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
