GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a Walmart.
Ernestine Gaitan filed a suit on May 30 against Walmart Inc. and XYZ Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 21 when she allegedly was caused to slip and fall on a fluid that allegedly had dripped from an air conditioning vent.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Bart Kelly III in Alvendia, Kelly and Demarest LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
