American Express is seeking nearly $8,000

GRETNA — American Express claims that it is owed nearly $8,000.

American Express National Bank filed a suit on May 30 against Gerard Zomerdijk and Hantrepreneur Venture LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeing damages for an open account in the balance of $7,919.03, plus interest, claiming that the defendants have failed to pay off the sums allegedly due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gilbert G. Gonzalez Jr. of the DeGrasse Law Firm PC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 784296.
