A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly slipped and fell at a Family Dollar store

NEW ORLEANS — A woman claims that she was injured due to allegedly slipping and falling at a Family Dollar store.

Carrie Reed filed a lawsuit on May 30 against Family Dollar Stores of Louisiana Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on July 28 when she allegedly was caused to slip and fall on a substance left on the floor of the store.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney David Geerken of Dudley Debosier PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 18-5356.
