GRETNA – A beauty supply company claims that its landlord failed to fix the roof on the property and that a leak caused more than $38,000 in damages.

Max Beauty Supply Inc. filed a suit June 4 against Kwang and Eun Oh, Jack Stumpf & Associates Inc., and Western World Insurance Group in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiff entered into a commercial lease agreement with the Ohs in January 2017 for a Terrytown property. The suit states the roof on the property began leaking in June 2017 and damaged the plaintiff's merchandise. It alleges the Ohs failed to make timely repairs to the roof.

The plaintiff alleges it submitted a claim to Western World for the loss, which was denied November 2017.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Richard R. Schulze in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 784413.
