Outback Steakhouse diner alleges food on floor caused fall

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall on food at an Outback Steakhouse restaurant.

Alicia Stewart filed a suit June 6 against Outback Steakhouse of Florida Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was eating at the defendant's Metairie restaurant on June 26, 2017. She alleges spilled food on the restaurant's floor caused her to fall as she was leaving.

The defendant is alleged to have failed to keep the premises free of hazardous conditions.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David P. Vicknair and Kassie Lee Richbourg of Scott, Vicknair, Hair & Checki LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
