Louisiana State University claims student owes more than $9,500

GRETNA – Louisiana State University is seeking more than $9,000 allegedly owed by a student.

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors, through the university, filed a lawsuit June 6 against Mariorlin Paulino in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the complaint, Paulino owes $9,694.70 plus interest for goods and services received from Louisiana State.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.
