Louisiana State University claims former student owes $2,688

GRETNA – Louisiana State University is seeking payment of more than $2,500 allegedly owed by a former student.

Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors, through Louisiana State University, filed a lawsuit June 8 against Christian Maria Washington in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the claim, Washington owes $2,688 plus interest and has allegedly failed to pay off the balance due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, as well as attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Anthony Winters of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
