GRETNA –A community college claims that a student owes more than $1,000.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit June 12 against Selena Byers in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,004.26 plus interest, claiming that the defendant was negligent in paying off the balance.
The defendant is accused of open account.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
