GRETNA – Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit against a student, seeking payment of more than $1,000 owed on an open account.
The college filed a complaint June 12 against Nigel Aaron Bailey in the 24th Judicial District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account with a balance of $1,096 plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.
The college is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
