Whitney Bank claims Marshland Construction owes more than $43,000

GRETNA – Whitney Bank filed a lawsuit June 18, alleging that a construction company owes more than $43,000 plus interest on three separate accounts.

The bank filed a lawsuit against Marshland Construction LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking payment on a $24,925.51 line of credit, $17,682.41 due on a promissory note and an overdraft checking account with a balance of $620.94, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay off the amounts due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Keith Frey of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
