Patient's father claims he was injured at Daughters of Charity Health Center

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages resulting from an alleged slip and fall that occurred at the Daughters of Charity Health Center at Gretna United Methodist Church..

Matthew Palmisano filed a lawsuit June 20 against Gretna United Methodist Church and the Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 20, 2017 when his son was being treated by a pediatrician at the health center. Palmisano said he was injured when he allegedly slipped and fell because the floor at the center was wet.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Gernhauser Jr. in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
