Customer blames Walmart for injuries after slip and fall

GRETNA –A woman is seeking damages from Walmart Inc. after she was allegedly injured in a slip and fall incident.

Marcella Ussin filed a lawsuit July 6 in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Ussin is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on Dec. 9, 2017 when she was at a Walmart store in Harahan The plaintiff claims she slipped and fell on a liquid substance on the ground and was injured.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable amounts due, attorney's fees and court costs. She is represented by Edward Womac Jr. of the Law Offices of Edward J. Womac Jr. & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 785432.
