Palmetto Apartments Partnership named in slip and fall lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for a slip and fall at her apartment.

Doris Nealy filed a lawsuit March 12 against Palmetto Apartments Partnership and HRI Properties LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages claiming that the defendant was negligent for an incident that took place on June 24, 2017 when the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a puddle of water that was allowed to form by a leaking ceiling.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kristi Schubert of Lamothe Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney Cates IV.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-2407.
