Woman claims she was injured in fall at a Marriott pool

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was injured on a dangerous platform around a pool.

Terri Cotton filed a lawsuit March 14 against Marriott International Inc., HMC Properties II, Limited Partnership, fka Marriott Hotel Properties II Limited Partnership, and ABC Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 25, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the Marriott at 555 Canal St. in New Orleans. The suit claims the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall on an uneven platform around the pool, causing her to be injured.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Gregory Rome of Williams & Rome LLC in Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-2512.
