Man seeks payment of $163,297 allegedly owed by property co-owner

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that the co-owner of his home has not paid more than $160,000 allegedly owed in accordance with an agreement between the parties.

David MacCaulay filed a lawsuit July 9 against Courtney MacCaulay in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay off a balance due in the total amount of $163,297, plus interest. The suit said this amount includes the purchase price of the New Orleans home, money spent for renovations and taxes paid on the property.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by P. David Carollo.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.
