Budget Rent-A-Car seeks damages for allegedly stolen car

GRETNA – Budget Rent-A-Car is seeking damages for breach of contract when a rental car was stolen.

Budget Rent-A-Car System LLC filed a suit July 16 against Christina Pinto in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract and damages.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the defendant was renting a 2015 Kia Cadenza from the plaintiff. The suit states that while the defendant was renting the car the vehicle was stolen on May 25, 2015. The defendant has failed to pay off the damages suffered by the defendant.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and damages.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James Gary of Dwight & Gary LLC in Lake Charles.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 785681.
