Louisiana seeks to seize property of defendant facing marijuana charge

GRETNA – The State of Louisiana is seeking damages for an individual's possession of marijuana.

The State of Louisiana filed a suit July 20 against Dominique Buckley in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging possession of marijuana.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for finding that the defendant was in possession of 22 grams of marijuana. The plaintiff is seizing the property of the defendant, who is accused of possession of marijuana.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Wheeler in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.
