State of Louisiana seeks to seize defendant's property in drug case

GRETNA – The state of Louisiana is seeking to seize property from an individual charged with the possession of illegal drugs.

The State of Louisiana filed a suit July 20 against Kyle Mathieu in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging possession of heroin.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages, alleging that the defendant was in possession of heroin. The plaintiff is seeking to seize the property of the defendant.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Wheeler in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.
