GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she was allegedly fired for seeking workmen's compensation.
Monique Clarius filed a suit July 23 against A Confidential Transportation Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging unfair termination.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 28, when the plaintiff was terminated from her place of employed after she asserted her rights to worker's compensation after a work-related injury took place.
The defendant is accused of unfair termination.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by William Mustian III of Stanga & Mustian PLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
