Louisiana seeks damages for alleged drug possession

GRETNA – The State of Louisiana is seeking damages for the possession of illegal substances.

The State of Louisiana filed a suit July 27 against Joseph Sylve in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging possession of an illegal substance.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages after it discovered in the defendant's home MDMA and narcotics that are illegal to possess. The defendant is accused of possession of an illegal substance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Wheeler in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
