State files civil suit against alleged heroin distributor

GRETNA – The state of Louisiana is seeking damages for the possession of and distribution of heroin.

The State of Louisiana filed a suit July 27 against Phillip Washington in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging possession of and distribution of heroin. According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages alleging that it found proof of the distribution of heroin at the defendant's property.

The defendant is accused of possession of heroin.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Wheeler in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 786075.
