Delgado Community College claims former student owes $778

GRETNA – Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit seeking payment on a former student's open account.

GRETNA – Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit seeking payment on a former student's open account.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit July 30 against Quichele Babino in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the complaint, the college is seeking damages for an open account with a balance $778, plus 33.33 percent interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
