Delgado Community College claims former student owes $1,115

GRETNA – Delgado Community College is seeking payment of more than $1,100 allegedly owed by a former student.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit Aug. 2 against Brook Doane in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the complaint, the college is seeking damages for an open account with a balance of $1,114.76 plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. Ir is represented by Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.
