Patient, at Ochsner Clinic Foundation for CT scan, claims injuries

GRETNA – An Ochsner Clinic Foundation patient is seeking damages for injuries, claiming he tripped and fell on the way to the parking garage after a routine CT scan.

Lee Roussell filed a suit on Aug. 6, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence. The plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident on Oct. 25, 2017, when he was at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation, also known as Ochsner Hospital. 

The plaintiff had just had a routine CT scan, when he allegedly tripped and fell down, as he left the building and was headed to the parking garage. The patient claims he fell while walking on an uneven rise on a pedestrian ramp, where "other patients and staff have previously tripped."

The patient claimed that there were no warning signs to inform people of the "unreasonably dangerous condition," according to the lawsuit.

Ochsner Clinic Foundation is now formally known as Ochsner Medical Center.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Olga V. Folfanova of Dudley Debosier Injury Lawyers n New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
