Property company seeks over $5,400 for damages to an apartment

GRETNA – A property company is seeking more than $5,400, alleging that tenants abused a property.

1st Lake Properties Inc., agents for Sugar Mill East Apartments, filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Clyde Strahan and Marva Boisdore.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place in 2015 when the defendants were renting the property located at 4520 Williams Blvd. in Kenner.  The defendant is being sued for abusing the property by using a substance in the home that damaged the property. The plaintiff is seeking payment in the balance of $5,452.30 plus interest for the damages suffered to the property.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jacob Kansas in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 787160.
