Woman claims she was injured in slip and fall at a Walmart

GRETNA – A woman alleges that she was caused to slip and fall in a Walmart.

Gilda Jackson filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Associates Inc., Walmart Louisiana LLC, and Walmart Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 16, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the Walmart at 5110 Jefferson Highway and was caused to slip and fall due to the presence of water on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Simonson of The King Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 787220.
