Bank of America customer faces lawsuit over alleged $5,000 debt

GRETNA –– A national bank is taking a Jefferson Parish man to court over an alleged $5,000 debt.

Bank of America filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Javier Martin Chaviano. 

According to the complaint, the defendant owes $5,400.64, plus interest, on a credit account. 

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
