New Orleans Saints wants sponsor to pay up, lawsuit says

GRETNA –– The New Orleans Saints football organization accuses a frozen yogurt company of not fulfilling a sponsorship deal.

New Orleans Louisiana Saints LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Chavez Juan Crosby, who owns Icebyrd Frozen Yogurt and Icebyrd Frozen Yogurt LLC.

According to the complaint, the defendant and plaintiff entered into a sponsorship deal. However, the plaintiff alleges the defendant never paid the fees owed despite receiving the publicity from the deal. 

The defendant is accused of negligence and breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James M. Garner of Sher, Garner, Cahill, Richter, Klein & Hilbert LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
