Student owes more than $4,000, university says

NEW ORLEANS –– The University of Louisiana accuses a student of not paying a bill for tuition, room and board.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Kourtnie M. Leary. 

According to the complaint, the defendant owes an outstanding balance $4,275.50, plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila M. Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
