GRETNA –– Nicholls State University accuses a former student of nonpayment of a student loan.
University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a complaint on June 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Latasha M. Chopin.
According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $2,212.00 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
