University of New Orleans pursues tuition debt

NEW ORLEANS –– The University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against a former student for alleged nonpayment of tuition and fees.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Brock A. Minveille.

According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $3,076.75 plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila M. Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge D. Nicole Sheppard.
