GRETNA –– A student faces a lawsuit over a debt allegedly owed to her community college.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Sharyna A. Carlin.
According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $757.34 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
