GRETNA – A couple is seeking damages for a fall outside of a Walmart.
Raihana Islam and Mohammed Islam filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Inc., dba Walmart Neighborhood Market Kenner, and Walmart Louisiana LLC, dba Walmart Neighborhood Market — Kenner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 2, 2017 when the plaintiff was caused to fall after stepping in a hole in the defendant's parking lot.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph Piacun in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
