GRETNA – A man alleges that he was rear-ended by a police car.

Walter Williams filed a complaint on Oct. 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Debra E. Alfra, the City of Gretna Police Department, and XYZ Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for a car accident that took place on Oct. 26, 2017 when the plaintiff was rear-ended by the defendant who was operating a vehicle on behalf of the police department.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Edward Bopp, a law corporation in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 788785.
