State university alleges former student owes over $1,500

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,500 in sums due.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Kaila Barattini.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $1,585.90 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern Reese.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-10408.
