NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages for an allegedly incorrectly installed generator.
Juan A. Lafonta filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Ready Power LLC and ABC Insurance Co.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place after the defendant failed to properly install a generator, resulting in it becoming overloaded and catching on fire.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Douglass Alongia of Juan Lafonta & Associates in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
