Woman claims she was injured in fall at Audubon Nature Institute

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for a fall at Audubon Nature Institute.

Darlene Johnson filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Audubon Nature Institute Inc., Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. and National Casualty Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 18, 2017, alleging the defendant caused the plaintiff to be injured. The plaintiff alleges she was caused to trip and fall on an uneven surface of ground at 6500 Magazine St. The plaintiff claims the fall has resulted in physical anguish following the incident.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to make the premises safe.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Jacques DeGruy of Pusateri, Johnston, Guillot & Greenbaum in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-11264.
