GRETNA –– A Walmart in Marrero faces a negligence lawsuit from a Jefferson Parish resident.
Charmaine Turner filed a complaint on Nov. 3 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Louisiana LLC.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff slipped and fell in the Walmart at 4810 Lapalco Blvd in Marrero. She alleges the floor was wet with no warning signs.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Bart Kelly III of Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
