Pedestrian sues after allegedly falling on Lafayette Street

GRETNA – Marcia R. Toca filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Coffer Properties and Lauren McGinnis.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on Nov. 8, 2017,  when she allegedly was at at 518 Lafayette St., a property owned by the defendants. 

The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she allegedly tripped on a raised threshold that was not clearly marked and fell, injuring her chin. The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Troy R. Keller in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
