Hancock Whitney Bank seeks more than $6,000

GRETNA – Hancock Whitney Bank filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Brian Batt & Paige L. Batt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums money due on a promissory note. The bank is alleging that the defendant has been negligent in paying off the balance, which is $6,248.35 plus interest. 

The plaintiff has allegedly sought amicable demand but to no avail as the defendant still remains negligent for the balance owed to the plaintiff plus interest. The defendant is accused of sums due on a promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
